As very typical of this year, it was another gorgeous sunny day in the middle of August when I headed over to Pittville Park in Cheltenham to meet up with Hannah and Buddy for their engagement shoot. They initially found me through my Instagram whilst looking for a photographer for their wedding next year at the beautiful Arnos Vale in Bristol. I’m so pleased they chose me, it’s one of the weddings I’m particularly looking forward to working at. The venue is stunning, but more importantly these two are so much fun and fantastic in front of the camera.
We met up by the cafe and took a leisurely stroll over to the Pittville Pump Room which Hannah has fond memories of. This was my first visit to Pittville Park and it really is a beautiful location. Even without the Pump Room and bandstand, there are plenty of tree lined pathways winding around a large pond including a stunning bridge which we made the most of. Even if Hannah did have to get closer to a pigeon than she would have liked. (photo evidence below!)
Hannah and Buddy were so good in front of the camera, cracking jokes, laughing, and generally having fun together. Like most people they had some reservations about being photographed professionally, but they were absolutely perfect for the way I like to shoot: unforced, and allowing their personalities to steer the direction of session. I have a whole 9 months to wait until I have the pleasure of taking their wedding photos, and it cant come soon enough!
